As the deadline (gives by the EBU) for countries to confirm Eurovision 2024 participation passed on 15th of September 2023, for some countries it is still unclear whether Eurovision participation is planned.
Montenegro is one of the countries that still haven’t given any official statement regarding Eurovision 2024.
However, CDM (Cafe Del Montenegro) reports that Montenegro will most likely sit outside of Malmö Arena in May 2024.
The General Director RTCG, Boris Raonic, hasn’t reacted yet.
The country didn’t take part in Eurovision 2023, due to financial constraints.
In 2020, RTCG chose to give-up Eurovision participation, due to other budget priorities – purchasing cars for employees of news division.
The last (to date) Montenegrin participation at Eurovision was in 2022.
Back then, Vladana was internally selected to represent the country at Turin, Italy:

Vladana represented Montenegro at Eurovision 2022 with “Breathe“.
She finished in 17th place in semi-final 2, and therefore didn’t qualify for the final:
The EBU usually release the list of participating countries towards the end of October.
By then, we will know whether Montenegro will take part i the 68th edition of Eurovision Song Contest.
Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-final will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11h of May 2024
