Israel will select its artist for Eurovision 2024 via “Hakochav Haba La’Eurovision 2024″ (“The Rising Star For Eurovision 2024”).
However, the entry for Eurovision 2024 will be selected internally.
Israel Selection For Eurovision – Full Regulations
- The Israeli representative for Eurovision 2024 will be “The Rising Star 2024” winner.
- The deadline for songs submission in the 11th of February 2024, at 09:00
- The song will be chosen by the end of February 2024
- The chosen song will be presented to the public in the beginning of March 2024, as part of a special program in Kan
- In the first phase, a professional committee consisting of “Kan” radio station manager and 2 senior music editors, will create a list of 30 Israeli writers, composers and producers. The national broadcaster will directly approach them to get songs for Eurovision 2024. However, it is possible that additional writers will be approached later on.
- Kan suggests that each song will include al least number of sentences in Hebrew.
- The writers of the song must have an Israeli citizenship.
- As the submission window closes, a professional committee consisting of 7 members will listen to the submitted songs. The members won’t be aware to names of the creators behind the songs.
- Each members of the professional committee will rank each song in the range of 0-5. The 3-5 songs with the highest combined scores will process to the second phase of the selection.
- The committee might observe songs that have been released after 1st of September, and won’t be submitted to the selrction process.
- The winner of “The Rising Star for Eurovision 2024” will also have the right to submit songs to the selection process.
- It is possible that Kan will announce an open call for songs (this means: Any Israeli will be allowed to submit a song)

Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-final will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11th of May 2024
