Hello Europe, it is Australia calling!
It isn’t about the sound of silence anymore, as we finally get some news from Australian broadcaster SBS.
Based on a email sent by SBS, we can learn that the Eurovision 2024 act has been internally selected by SBS and will be revealed in the first week of March 2024.
The entrant (And most likely the song itself as well) will be revealed on the 6th of March (Australia time). Eurovision fans from Europe will probably explore the song on the 5th of March 2024.

Australia at Eurovision

Australia received a special invitation to take part in Eurovision in 2015.
The Australian broadcaster has cast the show for many years before, building the local Eurovision base faithfully.
Thereafter, the country has been invited to the contest each year by the reference group.
The situation changed in February 2019, when the EBU offered 5 years contract that guarantees Australia‘s participation at Eurovision.

Previously, Dannii Minogue was the leading name in the mixture of rumors.
However, the singer has denied the rumors later on.

Later on, additional names have appeared in the list of rumors. The majority of them are former “Australia Decides” participants like: Jaguar Jonze (“Australia Decides” 2020+2022), Electric Fields (“Australia Decides” 2019) and more.
