Earlier today, Spanish broadcaster RTVE organized a press conference in the city of Benidorm. During the event, some more details regreading the “Benidorm Fest” have been revealed.

Benidorm Fest 2025 – Known Details

- “Benidorm Fest 2025” will feature 2 semi-finals and a final:
- Each show will be determined by:
- 50% international and national jury
- 25% public votes (Free voting via app)
- 25% demographic jury, representing different parts of the population.
- Unlike previous years, the results of the semi-final will be revealed only after the final. This means we will only get the qualifiers at the end of each semi-final.
- The musical advisors for this edition will be: Beatriz Luengo, Rayden, Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson and Pablo Cebrián
- Artists are welcome to submit their songs by the 10th of October 2024 (the submission window opens on May 20th)
- RTVE might directly invite some established composers, singers, and lyricists to submit songs. In addition, some songwring camps are organized to help generate more songs.
- As in recent years, it will be possible to submit songs without a performer.
- One of the main points of the regulations is that all singing must be live, without any vocal effects.
- RTEV will form a professional committee, consisting of professional musicians and RTVE representatives. They will shortlist up to 16 acts and an additional 6 backup songs.
- Solo artists must have Spanish nationality or permanent residence in Spain. For groups, at least 50% of the members must meet this condition.
- At least one of the song writers must have Spanish nationality or permanent residence in Spain
- The song lyrics must be in Spanish or in any other official language of the country: Aranese, Basque, Catalan, Galician and Castilian. However, up to 40% of the lyrics might be in any foreign language (like English).
Nebulossa represented Spain at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Zorra”.
They finished in 22nd place with 30 points
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Switzerland.
