Danish broadcaster DR has just opened the submission window for the national selection “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025”. The submission window will close on the 27th of October at midnight.
“Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025” – Main Details
- “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025” will be held on Saturday, the 1st of March 2025. The televised show will be held at the Jyske Bank Boxen in Horsens.
- The professional committee will shortlist 8 of the submitted songs to be performed in the contest.
- Each submission will include an audio file (studio version) and a video of live performance.
- Either the composer, lyricist or performing artist must be a Danish citizen or have a similarly strong connection to Denmark
- Composers and lyricists can submit several songs. Each performer can submit one song only.
- The winner will be chosen by combination of jury vote and public vote
Denmark has failed to qualify for the final 4 years in a row (2021 – 2024).
