Ireland Will Select Its Eurovision 2025 Entry Through “Eurosong 2025”

Ireland is the latest country to confirm its presence in Eurovision 2025.
Irish broadcaster RTÉ will hold a national selection for Eurovision 2025, and even since 2022, the selection method will be “Eurosong”.
Since 2022, “Eurosong” has been part of “The Late Late Show”.


Irish “Eurosong 2025” – Known Details

  1. The submission window opened today (23rd of September 2024) and will close on the 18th of November 2024.
  2. The Irish song and artist will be chosen via the “Irish Eurosong 2025″, which will be a televised show as part of “The Last Late Show“.
  3. The Irish selection will be held in February 2025
  4. Each performer can submit up to one song, which hasn’t been released before September 1st.
  5. All recordings of songs must be submitted in MP3 192kbps format and be complete, professionally recorded and in their final form.
  6. Performers must have the vocal ability, stagecraft, ambition and confidence to perform live.
  7. A panel of expert jury from the industry (and potentially some Eurovision fans) will evaluate the submitted songs and shortlist a few of them.
  8. Some performers might be invited to give a live audition in RTÉ studios in Dublin.
  9.  RTÉ reserves the right to replace suggested performers with performers/artists nominated by RTÉ, and to match them with songs received.
  10. RTÉ might invite some performers and/or writers to submit songs directly to the selection.

Bambie Thug represented Ireland at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Doomsday Blue”.
They finished in 6th place with a total of 278 points.

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
