For the 4th year in a row, Spain will select its Eurovision artist and song via “Benidorm Fest”.
The “Benidorm Fest 2025” submission window opened on the 20th of May 2024 and closed on the 10th of October 2024.
RTVE announced a record for the festival, with nearly 1,000 songs submitted for the local festival!
As a comparison, this is an increase of around 200 songs from the 2024 edition.
About 300 songs were submitted in the last 24 hours of the submission window.

Benidorm Fest 2025 – Known Details

- “Benidorm Fest 2025” will feature 2 semi-finals and a final:
- The semi-finals will be held on the 28th and 30th of January 2025
- The final will take place on the 1st of February 2025
- Each show will be determined by:
- 50% international and national jury voting.
- 25% public votes (Free voting via app)
- 25% demographic jury, representing different parts of the population.
- Unlike previous years, the results of the semi-final will be revealed only after the final. This means we will only get the qualifiers at the end of each semi-final.
- The musical advisors for this edition will be: Beatriz Luengo, Rayden, Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson and Pablo Cebrián
- RTVE will form a professional committee, consisting of professional musicians and RTVE representatives. They will shortlist up to 16 acts and an additional 6 backup songs.
- Solo artists must have Spanish nationality or permanent residence in Spain. For groups, at least 50% of the members must meet this condition.
- At least one of the songwriters must have Spanish nationality or permanent residence in Spain
- The song lyrics must be in Spanish or in any other official language of the country: Aranese, Basque, Catalan, Galician and Castilian. However, up to 40% of the lyrics might be in any foreign language (like English).

Nebulossa represented Spain at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Zorra”.
They finished in 22nd place with 30 points
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
