Denmark: A Former Eurovision Participant Will Compete in the “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025”

Danish broadcaster DR closed the submission window for the national selection “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025” on the 27th of October 2024.

As part of the annual Danish Eurovision fans meeting (Melodigrandprixfans.dk), the attendees had the opportunity to hear more about Denmark‘s plans for Eurovision 2025.
Erik Struve, The “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix” producer, was featured as a special guest.
He revealed that 8 acts will compete in the national final. So far, 4 of them have already been selected.
One of those 4 acts has already represented Denmark in the Eurovision!

“Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025” – Main Details

  1. “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025” will be held on Saturday, the 1st of March 2025. The televised show will be held at the Jyske Bank Boxen in Horsens.
  2. The professional committee will shortlist 8 of the submitted songs to be performed in the contest.
  3. The songs and the artists will be revealed in February 2025.
  4. The winner will be chosen by combination of jury vote and public vote

Denmark has failed to qualify for the final 4 years in a row (2021 – 2024).

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
