“The Luxembourg Song Contest 2025” Participants Have Been Revealed

The Luxembourg Song Contest 2025 will be held on the 25th of January 2025, at Rockhal in Esch-Belval.
As it was announced earlier, around 60 artists (with 77 songs) applied for the national selection.
A total of 7 artists have been shortlisted to participate in the televised show.
The results of the final will be decided by a public vote and jury vote.
RTL has just revealed the 7 participants:

The Participants

#1. Laura Thorn 

Laura is a music teacher at the Esch/Alzette Conservatory of Music.
She has completed her master’s degree in music theory, music pedagogy, and pop singing.


#2. One Last Time

One Last Time is a pop-rock band consisting of 5 members: Andrea Galleti, Jonathan Fersino, Tom Sagramola, Alessandro Sorbello, and Barbara Salvi. 
The band was formed in 2021, and they are about to release their debut album in 2025.
In 2024, they competed in the “Luxembourg Song Contest 2024” with “Deveil in the Detail”

#3. Luzac

Luzac had shown an interest in music from a young age.
Luzac plays the violin, and specializes in urban pop music.
He writes and composes his own music. Currently, he is working on his debut album.

#4.Rhythmic Soulwave

Rhythmic Soulwave features 6 members: Mael Fontana (Luxemborug), Leopold Strauβ (Luxemborug), Angela Aguilera Caballero (Luxemborug), Carmen Carbonnell Suarez (Cuban-Hungarian), Diego Lucero (Spain), and Zakar Lörinc (Hungary).
They blend different music genres like jazz, Latin American music, classical traditions, and pop rock,

#5. MÄNA

MÄNA is a student at the Regional School of Music in Dudelange, where she focuses on playing the flute and violin.
She is experienced in modern singing, both as a solo artist and as a part of orchestra.
In 2023, she released her debut single.

#6. Rafa Ela

Rafa Ela competed in several music talent shows like “Luxembourg’s Next Popstar” (2016) and “Top Voice Luxembourg” (2018).
In 2024, she competed in “Luxembourg Song Contest 2024” together with Angy:

#7. Zero Point Five

The band consists of 3 members: Federico (Kiko) Menichetti, Gilles Saracini, and Christophe Reitz.
The band was formed in 2009, and they are well known for their live concerts.
They blend several music genres like: Pop, folk, and country.

RTL has just revealed the members of the international jury, who will shortlist the participants for the national final:

  1. Poli Genova: Represented Bulgaria at Eurovision 2011 and 2016, and hosted “Junior Eurovision 2015″.
  2. Niamh Kavanagh: The winner of Eurovision 1993 (Ireland) with the song “In Your Eyes“.
  3. Marie Myriam: The winner of Eurovision 1977 (France) with the song “L’oiseau et l’enfant”.
  4. Eldar Gasimov: The winner of Eurovision 2011 (Azerbaijan) with the song “Running Scared”.
  5. Diogo Fernandes: Portuguese producer who was one of the producers of Eurovision 2018 and had managed artists over the years.


Tali represented Luxembourg at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Fighter“.
She finished in 13th place with 103 points

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025

Doron Lahav is 30-year-old, who lives in Israel. Doron has been watching the Eurovision Song Contest since early 2000s. Doron works as a Data Scientist and shows interest in singing and writing.
