During podcast Irish Eurovision related podcast Éirevision it was confirmed that Ireland will use Eurosong to select their entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
Eurosong 2025 will be part as Late Late Show special on Friday the 7th February 2025. 6 participants will try their luck to represent Ireland.
On 23rd September 2024 till 18th November 2024 Ireland had submission window to submit future Irish represetive. It was confirmed by Matthew Joyce that 6 songs will be revealed in January 2025.
Bambie Thug represented Ireland at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Doomsday Blue” and they finished 6th place at grand final with 278 points.
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025
