Austria: “Wasted Love” Will Be Released On March 6th

Austrian broadcaster ORF has internally selected Johannes Pietsch (better known as JJ) to represent Austria in Eurovision 2025.
JJ was selected as part of internal selection through live auditions in multiple rounds.
The format involved ORF’s management, Eurovision fan clubs, and an expert jury.

It has been revealed that Austria will reveal their song for Eurovision 2025 on the 6th of March 2025. The song will be “Wasted Love”, featuring some opera elements.
It was co-written by Teya (who represented Austria in Eurovision 2023, together with Salena)

Who is JJ?

JJ is a 23-year-old singer and a performer in the Vienna State Opera.
He was born in Vienna and spent some years in Dubai.
In 2021, he participated in the music show Starmania, just like Teya and Salena!
He has participated in productions like “Die Zauberflöte”, “Von der Liebe Tod”, and “Tschick“.
JJ combines opera and pop in his music.

Austria will compete in the first half of semi-final 2.
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025.
