Cyprus: The Eurovision 2025 Entry Will Be Released On March 11

In September 2024, Cyprus was the first country to announce its artist for Eurovision 2025.
Theo Evan was revealed as Cyprus’s choice for Eurovision 2025 (via an internal selection).

The national broadcaster CyBC has revealed that the song for Eurovision 2025 will be released on March 11th, 2025. The song will premiere in the local TV, and later on YouTube (around 20:00 CET)

In recent weeks, the singer has worked on filming the official video clip for his Eurovision 2025 entry.
The writers behind his entry are:

  • Dimitris Kontopoulos – Greek composer who was behind numerous Eurovision entries of different countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Greece, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Moldova.
  • Elsie Bay – Norwegian singer-songwriter, who is well-known for her participations in “Melodi Grand Prix”
  • Lasse Nymann and Linda Dale – Two of the creators of “The Code” (By Nemo) – Eurovision 2024 winner

The Spanish director Sergio Jaen will be the artistic director of Cyprus’ performance in Eurovision 2025.
The Spanish choreographer Borja Rueda will be in charge of the live performance choreography.

Theo started singing and dancing at the age of 7 and went into songwriting in his teens. He started off his career through dance lessons and being part of a school choir
He also participated in various theatre productions and talent shows in Cyprus while growing up. Theo has an academic background in music, as he studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has also dabbled into acting as an extra in HBO’s Euphoria.

Cyprus was allocated to perform in the second half of semi-final 1.
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025.
