Who is Albert Armenakyan?

Albert Armenakyan is 12 years old and comes from Yerevan. He started performing at the age of six and currently takes piano and vocal lessons. He has participated in numerous music competitions in Armenia and abroad. Earlier this year, he participated in the 11th season of The Voice Kids in France and reached the final. His coach on the show was Patrick Fiori, who represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 1993. He participated in the Armenian selection for Junior Eurovision for the past three years.

Albert shared his excitement by saying:

“I am very happy to represent Armenia at Junior Eurovision. Dreams really do come true, you just have to always believe they will, with your whole heart. Singing on the big Junior Eurovision stage has been my greatest dream and today it is reality. It’s a great honor, at the same time a great responsibility and I’m ready for it. I promise to do everything to represent my country in the best possible way and I can’t wait to meet all the other artists in Tbilisi.”

David Tserunyan, Head of Delegation for Armenia, added:

“Armenia is one of the most successful and anticipated countries at Junior Eurovision. While our beloved fans eagerly await what Armenia will present to the world each year, the team and the artists always try their best to deliver a truly outstanding performance, something we could be proud of. I must admit that the jury had a truly difficult task this year, choosing the best among more than 80 very talented children, but I’m very glad that both the Armenian and international experts have chosen Albert. This year, Armenia will present itself in a completely new way, something we haven’t really done in the recent years – a new format, a new message to the world and a big dream in our hearts.”
