Eurovision 2026: Malta Reveals Details About “MESC 2026”

Maltese broadcaster PBS revealed that Malta will choose its Eurovision 2026 entry via “MESC 2026” (The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2026)


“MESC 2026” – Known Details

  1. The submission window will open on November 17th and will close on November 23rd, 2025.
  2. 18 artists will be shortlisted to participate in the national selection.
  3. The selection will feature a semi-final and a grand final.
  4. On December 1st, the list of 18 semi-finalists (and their song titles) will be revealed.
  5. The semi-final will take place on Thursday, January 15th, 2026.
  6. The final will take place on Saturday, January 17th, 2026. 12 artists will qualify for the final.
  7. The results will be based on public vote and jury votes.
  8. Earlier this summer, a songwriting camp took place, where some artists and writers collaborated on songs.


Miriana Conte represented Malta in Eurovision 2025.
She performed “Serving” and ended 17th in the final:

Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026.
