Bulgaria Selects Dara for Eurovision 2026

Bulgaria held the 2nd show of its national selection for Eurovision 2026: “Bulgaria Natsionalnata selektsiya 2026“. The show concluded with selecting the artist for Eurovision 2026!

The Line-up

8 artists performed tonight. Each of them performed a song from their repertoire (either a new one or a released one)

  1. Roksana – “Kalimanku Denku”
  2. Mona – “Sila”
  3. Preyah – “Edelweiss”
  4. Mihaela Marinova – “Under Pressure”
  5. Molec – “Vyatura”
  6. Dara – “Thunder”
  7. Innerglow – “Znak”
  8. Kerana & Cosmonauts – “Nyama”

Aidan (Malta, Eurovision 2026), Alis (Albania, Eurovision 2026), and Eldar (Azerbaijan, Eurovision 2011) performed as special acts

The Results

The results were based on the following mechanism:

  • The results were based on a combination of jury votes and pubic votes.
  • The national jury panel included 5 members. They ranked each performance on a scale of 1-5 points.
  • The public voted, with one vote per voter.
  • The jury points for each artist are the sum of points given by all jury members (overall, between 3 and 25 points per act).
  • The public votes were converted to 1-8 points, with 8 points for first place and 1 point for last place.

Dara won the highest number of votes both in the jury vote and in the public vote:

Therefore, Dara will represent Bulgaria in Eurovision 2026.

er Eurovision 2026 song will be selected on the 3rd show of the selection, to be held on Saturday, February 28th, 2026.

In the show, Dara performed the song “Thunder”:

Bulgaria will compete in semi-final 2 of Eurovision 2026 (May 14th, 2026).
The country will perform in the first half of the show.

Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026.
