Austria: Eurovision 2027 Selection Process Underway

Austrian broadcaster ORF has started the preparations for Eurovision 2027.
Austria will likely select its act internally, though an official announcement is still pending.

Peter Schreiber and Cesár Sampson will lead the selection scout, which will kick off with looking for potential Austrian artists.

Peter Schreiber has shared the following post on his Instagram page:

If anyone is interested in representing Austria at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, send me a message – and please read the song rules on eurovision.com beforehand (of course, feel free to ask me if you still have any questions). Austrian artists are preferred (general applications will also be possible; an official announcement by ORF will follow later).

Austria has mostly selected its Eurovision act internally, except in 2012, 2015, 2016, and 2026, when the artist and song were chosen via a national selection.

COSMÓ represented Austria in Eurovision 2026.
They performed the song “Tanzschein” and ended in 24th place in the final

Eurovision 2027 will be held in Bulgaria in May 2027
