Albania: “Festivali i Këngës 65” Participants Have Been Revealed

Last August, Albanian broadcaster RTSH revealed the first details regarding its traditional music festival.
In 2027, “Festivali i Këngës” will mark its 65th edition.

RTSH has just revealed the list of 28 participants:

  4. Ana Bushgjokaj
  5. Ardit Çuni
  6. Arsi Bako
  7. Auron Deva & DJ Sardi
  8. Chip Deva
  9. Djemtë e Detit
  10. Eldis Arrnjeti
  11. Erinda Agolli
  12. Gigliola Haveriku
  13. Gjergj Jorgaqi
  14. Herva Novaku
  15. Josif Gjipali & Ardita Meni
  16. Kejsi Jazxhi
  17. Kejsi Tola
  18. Khuba-Shkelzen Rexhaj
  19. Leandra Godaj
  20. Martina Serreqi
  21. Michela Paluca
  22. Orgesa Zaimi

Among them, we can recognize some familiar names:

  1. Kejsi Tola – Represented Albania in Eurovision 2009 with “Carry Me In Your Dreams”, and competed in the festival in the 47th, 48th, 49th, and 51st editions
  2. Orgesa Zaimi – Participated in the 57th, 59th, and 63rd editions of the festival.
  3. Arsi Bako – Participated in the 61st and 62nd editions of the festival.
  4. Kejsi Jazxhi – Participated in the 63rd edition of the festival.
  5. Algert Sala – Participated in the 63rd edition of the festival.
  6. Sara Bajraktari – Participated in the 58th edition of the festival.
  7. Gigliola Haveriku – Participated in the 59th edition of the festival.
  8. Ardit Çuni – Participated in the 63rd edition of the festival.
  9. Michela Paluca – Participated in the 62nd edition of the festival.
  10. Vanesa Sono – Participated in the 61st edition of the festival.
  11. Eldis Arrnjeti – Participated in the 60th and 62nd editions of the festival.
  12. Sigi Bastri – Participated in the 54th edition of the festival.
  13. Adhurim Demiri – Participated in the 41st edition of the festival.
  14. Djemtë e Detit – Participated in the 36th, 37th, and 63rd editions of the festival.

“Festivali i Këngës” – Known Details

  1. The submission window closed on September 27th, 2026
  2. The song mustn’t be released before the submission (and neither before approval).
  3. Alfred Kaçinari and Shpëtim Saraçi will serve as the artistic directors
  4. The festival will take place in December 2026
  5. The song must be sung in Albanian and be no longer than 4 minutes.
  6. The performer of the song, as well as the composers, lyricists, and orchestrators, must be Albanian.
  7. Performers must be at least 17 years old.
  8. Each performer can submit one song only.
  9. Composers can submit up to one song (including as co-composers).
  10. Lyricists can submit up to 2 songs (including as co-writers).
  11. Orchestrators can submit up to 2 songs (including as co-writers).

RTSH press release features the following statement:

All artists from Albania, Kosovo and the Albanian diaspora are invited to participate, with their creations and interpretations that will reflect the latest developments in Albanian pop music

Alis represented Albania in Eurovision 2026.
He performed the song “Nân” and ended in 13th place in the final

Eurovision 2027 will be held in Bulgaria in May 2027
