Serbia Confirms Eurovision 2027 Participation

After a long silence, we finally have confirmation: Serbia is participating in Eurovision 2027!
The confirmation was made via an inquiry sent to RTS by the German Eurovision website ESC Kompakt.

Over the past few weeks, speculation has circulated across various forums suggesting the country might withdraw from the Eurovision Song Contest. These rumors stemmed from the fact that Serbia typically begins its Eurovision preparations at a much earlier stage in the season

Further details regarding the selection process are yet to be known.
Traditionally, Serbia tends to select its Eurovision entry via a national selection (like “Pesma za Evroviziju”). The last time Serbia selected internally was in 2017.
For several months now, the Serbian broadcaster RTS has had a new Director General, Manja Grč. This might also play a role in the design of the selection process.

Lavina represented Serbia in Eurovision 2026 with “Kraj Mene”.
They ended 17th in the final:

Eurovision 2027 will be held in Burgas, Bulgaria on May 11th, 13th, 15th, 2027
