Saara Aalto Partner With Mermaids Charity For Gender Variant Children In Her New Video “Dance Like Nobody’s Watching”

Finnish singer and songwriter Saara Aalto dropped her new music video for “Dance Like Nobody’s Watching” in a collaboration with UK charity Mermaids.

The powerful ballad carries the strong message that we all should love who we are. staying out from prejudices coming from outside but even more from the inner ones and accept yourself as a whole with your passions, beliefs through this journey called life.

In the emotional video directed by Adam Pitts, we exposed to a story of a transgender dancer played by Jessica Allen flashback at her childhood as she trying to “let go” the past and release herself dancing into the future.

Talking about the Video Saara said: “As an LGBTQ and an artist myself, I have experienced prejudices both personal and professional, but I made my dream of being a singer come true and I want to use this platform to inspire others that you too can lead a lead positive and loving life.  I want this song and video to empower anybody who maybe doubts themselves or has others doubt them to see that you can truly be who you are meant to be.

Partnering for the video with Mermaids charity is a perfect match as Mermaids assists in reducing isolation and loneliness for gender variant and transgender children, young people and their families. considering Saara’s buzz for staring the new season of “Dancing On Ice on” is hight and her personal relation to the subject, bonding with Mermaids will deliver this important message in an engaging way faster and clearer.

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
In the shadows, in the background
Out of the sunlight
You are hiding, scared of showing
What you really look like

But all our scars
They make us who we are
Lose your shame
We see, you’ve come so far, so far

[Pre-Chorus]
And all this time
I’ve been by your side

[Chorus]
Dance like nobody’s watching
Nobody’s judging who you love
Scream like you won’t be silenced
Kill them with kindness and your love
From the stars and the dust
We were made, all of us
So let’s dance like nobody’s watching
Nobody’s watching us

[Verse 2]
Your desires, all those little whispers
Yearn to be realized
All the haters and liars can’t break us
We’re free on the inside

[Pre-Chorus]
And all this time
I’ve been by your side

[Chorus]
Dance like nobody’s watching
Nobody’s judging who you love
Scream like you won’t be silenced
Kill them with kindness and your love
From the stars and the dust
We were made, all of us
So let’s dance like nobody’s watching
Nobody’s watching us

[Bridge]
But all our scars
They make us who we are
Lose your shame
We see you’ve come so far

[Chorus]
Dance like nobody’s watching
Nobody’s judging who you love
Scream like you won’t be silenced
Kill them with kindness

Dance like nobody’s watching
Nobody’s judging who you love
Scream like you won’t be silenced
Kill them with kindness and your love
From the stars and the dust
We were made, all of us
So let’s dance like nobody’s watching
Nobody’s watching us
