Finland Has Chosen: Darude Will Sing “Look Away” In Tel-Aviv

Finland held tonight its national final Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2019 and decided that Darude together with Sebastian Rejman will sing the 3rd entry presented tonight “Look Away” in Tel Aviv.

The show tonight was hosted by Krista Sigfrieds represented Finland in 2013), Christoffer Strandberg and Mikko Silvennoinen.  after all 3 entries were presented, Eurovision 2013 winner Emmelie de Forest took the stage and sang her Eurovision entry “Only Teardrops”.

The result tonight was decided by a combination of ptelevoting (50%) and international jury (50%) consist of Eurovision 2017 representative  Joakim With Steen aka JOWST (Norway), Ana Maria Bordas (Spain), Jan Bors (Czech Republic), Gabriel Alares (Sweden), wiwiblog’s William Lee Adams (United Kingdom) , Michael Kealy (Ireland), Emmelie de Forest (Denmark), and  Tali Eshkoli (Israel).  The Final results were:

  • 01. Release Me – 89 points  (3rd)
  • 02. Superman” – 147 points (2nd)
  • 03. Look Away  – 244 points (1st)

Last year the Finnish entry “Monsters” by Saara Aalto ranked 25th in the final scoring 46 points. Will Darude do better this year in Tel-Aviv? we’ll soon to find out. Finland will participate in the first half of Semifinal 1 on May 14th
