Eurovision 2020: It’s James Newman With “My Last Breath” For The UK

Once again the rumors had it! As reported on social media in the last few days it is James Newman to sing for the UK.

Earlier this year, the British broadcaster BBC has announced that this year they gave up on the national final “You Decides” and will internally select a big artist to represent them in a partnership with one of the biggest record companies BMG.

Two hours ago, it was officially announced that James Newman will sing “My Last Breath” in Rotterdam.  the BBC has huge expectations from James that will try to bring the UK back to the contest top10. the last time the country ended up in the top 10 was in 2009 when Jade Ewen finished 5th in Moscow with “It’s My Time

James Newman is an English singer-songwriter well-known for “Waiting All Night” which he co-wrote for Rudimental.  His brother is the famous pop star John Newman.  Sharing his excitement with the news  James quoted saying “Feeling very honoured and very excited to announce that I have been chosen to represent the UK in Eurovision Song Contest 2020!! I will be performing my brand new single ‘My Last Breath’, which is out today! Keep an eye out for the music video!” 

As a part of the BIG5, the ul will perform automatically in the show’s grand final. last year in Tel-Aviv Michael Rice – “Bigger Than Us” came last scoring a total of 11 points only.
