Junior Eurovision Is Moving To France

Great news coming this morning from France as the European Broadcasting Union and France Télévisions have confirmed that the 19th edition of the young contest will take place in France.

The announcement comes only a week after the 11-year-old Valentina has won the contest in Warsaw singing “J’imagine’.

The president of France Télévisions & EBU President-elect Ms. Delphine Ernotte Cunci said:“I am very happy that France Télévisions is organizing the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in France in 2021. Valentina represented our country brilliantly by winning the 2020 edition. Consequently, it was obvious to host the next event in France. This is a strong new initiative for us, which underscores the importance France Télévisions attaches to Eurovision, the EBU and Europe. Let us all hope that Junior Eurovision 2021 can take place under normal conditions in France and it will be a time of great celebrations for many Europeans.”

Also adding his blessing for next year preparations is the Executive Supervisor of the show Mr. Martin Österdahl saying : “We know how excited the whole team in France are to be staging the 19th edition of the Contest and we’re looking forward to working with them on growing the competition and producing a great show in 2021.”

I've started to follow Eurovision back in 1987 while I was only 4 years old. Ever since that night, Eurovision became my biggest passion. I created ESCBEAT to make sure that Eurovision music will stay forever and built the biggest Eurovision archive exist on streaming platforms
