Milan
Milan was the first city to express an interest and it came from Pierfrancesco Maran, the councillor for Urban Planning and Agriculture. Pierfrancesco wrote on Facebook post congratulations to Maneskin victory and expressed interest that Milan wants to host Eurovision 2022.
Bologna
Bologna is located in the heart of Emilia-Romanga. Metteo Lepore the councillor for Culture, Sport and ”Cilvil Imagination” who expressed his wishes that Bologna to host Eurovision Song Contest 2022.He also announced his intentions to write to RAI which is host broadcaster for Eurovision Song Contest 2022 as soon as possible.
Pesaro
Pesaro is located in the Eastern coast of Italy and its not far from neighbouring of San Marino. Mayor of Pesaro, Matteo Ricci proposed the Vitrigrigo Arena as host venue.
Turin
The Mayor of Turin has confirmed that the city is interested to host Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Turin has been looking to host the contest for a number of years, earlier this week RAI confirmed that in 2017 the broadcaster had plans with Turin as potential place to host the contest, when in 2017 back then Italy was big fan favourite to win. It was Francesco Gabbani with song ”Occidentali’s Karma”. They came in 6th place overall.
Rome
Italian capital Rome expressed the interest to bring Eurovision Song Contest back to the city. Mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi gave her support to bring the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 to the city and she tweeted:
“Rome is proud of its people. Next year Italy will host #EurovisionSongContest 2022. Rome is the perfect stage to relaunch the challenge.”
Rome last hosted Eurovision Song Contest in 1991, fallowing the last time when Italy won the contest in Zagreb with Toto Cutugno with song ”Insieme 1992”.
Reggio Emilia
Reggio Emilia is located in northern Italy is in discussions to bid to host Eurovision Song Contest 2022 after fallowing local interest. Local media in Reggio Emilia reports that city will discuss whether it will bid to host Eurovision 2022 in an upcoming meeting of local government. The Mayor of Reggio Emilia Luca Vecchi has expressed the support for the bidding for the host city.
City council of Reggio Online stated:
‘‘Other councillors and I will present an official document in the Sala del Tricolore asking the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, the candidacy must be presented by the local public body, to apply to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2022”.
Naples
Councillor of ”Magistris” and candidate for mayor Alessandra Clemente expressed the interest that Naples to host Eurovision Song Contest 2022.She tweeted:
