It’s official! After a lot of blurry news, we have some official news to share.
Our favorite music competition arrives in America with a different concept.
50 states of the United States of America, five U.S. territories and the nation’s capital will participate in the contest.
The “American Song Contest” will be broadcast on NBC, on the 21st of February 2022.
The contest will include several rounds (that align with a large number of participants)
- 3 Qualifying Rounds
- 2 Semi-Finals
- Grand Final
Each state/ territory will be represented by a solo performer or a group, performing an original song.
We might get plenty of genres!
The show’s executive producers will be:
Audrey Morrissey, Anders Lenhoff, Christer Björkman, Peter Settman, Ola Melzig, Gregory Lipstone, Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens.
The voting method might be similar to the one of “Melodifestivalen“
The show will be produced by Propagate in association with Universal Television Alternative Studios
