Iceland: “Söngvakeppnin 2022” – Semi-Final 1 Results

RÚV held tongiht the first semi-final of “Söngvakeppnin 2022“.
Björg Magnúsdóttir, Jón Jónsson and Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir hosted the show:

5 artists performed tonight. According to the Söngvakeppnin regulation, all contenstants must sing in the Icelandic language in the semi-finals.
They performed in the following running order:

  1. Amarosis – Íslenska Útgáfan / Don’t You Know (English Version)
  2. Stefán Óli – Ljósið 
  3. Haffi Haff – Gía 
  4. Stefanía Svavarsdóttir – Hjartað Mitt
  5. Sigga, Beta and Elín – Með Hækkandi Só

The Results


The results were determined by 100% public vote. 2 artists qualified for the final:

Sigga, Beta and Elín – Með Hækkandi Só

Stefán Óli – Ljósið 

At the moment, these 3 artists are eliminated:

Haffi Haff – Gía 

Amarosis – Íslenska Útgáfan / Don’t You Know

Stefanía Svavarsdóttir – Hjartað Mitt

However one of the 6 eliminated semi-finalists (3 from each semi-final) might get a wild-card from the jury.

Next Saturday, Iceland will hold the 2nd semi-final of “Söngvakeppnin 2022“:

Iceland will participate in the second half of semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2022 which be held on the 10th of May 2022.
If the country qualifies, Iceland will perform in the grand final on the 14th of May 2022
