Tali Eshkoli, the producer of the “Israel Calling” reacted

I am excited to once again bring to Israel a major international event, artists, delegations and journalists from all over Europe for a promo ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest and an introduction to our extraordinary Israeli experience. We warmly embrace all the artists and delegations and are happy for the opportunity to provide them with unforgettable experiences as always. I am happy to produce “Israel Calling” especially after the recent Miss Universe and Eurovision events in Israel, to continue to show the world that Israel is a wonderful place like this to host international productions, invite artists to perform in the embracing and warm Israeli audience and promote the beautiful values and colors of Israel. This is going to be a colorful and happy Eurovision celebration and a demonstration of connection and brotherhood. Welcome back to Israel!

Yoel Razbozov, the minister of tourism, reacted:

“After 2 difficult years, it is time to return to sanity, enjoy hosting international events and revive tourism to Israel. “Such an event symbolizes the recovery of the Israeli tourism industry, which needs certainty and continuity, but also such opportunities to present to the world the beauty, culture, and other goods we have to offer tourists”

Zeev Elkin, the minister of Jerusalem and Heritage, reacted:

“The City of Jerusalem and the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage under my leadership are happy to once again host the Eurovision artists who come to visit Israel, thus opening the celebrations of the 55th anniversary of the unification of the city. The delegations, coming from dozens of countries, will visit the main sites in the Old City, enjoy the uniqueness and beauty of Jerusalem and the rich and magical cultural offer of the capital of Israel “

Noam Katz, VP of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Head of Communications Department, recated :

The Eurovision event, for its diversity, colorfulness and joy inherent in it, embodies in its spirit and color a whole liberal world of values at its core acceptance of the other, freedom of expression and the desire to connect the continent and all partners in these values. Therefore, especially today, where the cannons are roaring the muses do not keep quiet. The arrival of the artists in Israel under the title “Israel Calling”, precisely these days, is a sharp and clear voice in favor of peace and against war.

Ron Huldai, mayor of Tel Aviv Jaffa, reacted:

The Eurovision Song Contest is not only a song contest but a cultural phenomenon that encourages values of diversity, tolerance, loving and respecting each other, of friendship and coexistence. This competition makes us forget our conflicts for one night, to unite and be proud as Israelis. That’s why we can’t avoid mentioning the horrors that take place in the heart of Europe, in Ukraine. Israel Calling, the special promo event that will bring the best of the Eurovision Song Contest to Tel Aviv-Yafo, a moment before the actual contest, will be a celebration diluted with pain and hope. It will have a say that we should do whatever we can to stop the horrors, to lend a hand and help, to open our hearts and save lives
