Welcome to our series of posts – “The Looker” where we will share our wish list of artists participating in Eurovision.
This is the second year in a row that we are running the project.
But before we start, let us remark that our recommendations will not necessarily come true (as for example some countries select their artists by reality shows)
This is the 1st post in the series and it will concentrate on 3 countries: Belgium, Israel, and The Netherlands.

#1. Camille Dhont
Camille Dhont is a 20-year-old Belgian singer and actress.
She started her career as part of a musical ensemble.
Since 2020, she has been one of the lead singers of the cover band Pluto Was A Planet.
In 2020, she won the Kids’ Choice Award for best upcoming artist.
In 2022, she won the Kids’ Choice Award for the best Belgian star.
Over the years, she has also collaborated with the musician Regi.
In June 2021, she released her debut album “Vuurwerk” (Eng: “Fireworks”). The album picked number 1 on the Belgian charts and stayed 43 weeks on the charts.
In 2022, she won the second season of “The Masked Singer Vlaanderen” as Miss Poes’s character.

Camille is a fresh new pop star who mainly sings in the Dutch language.
She has star quality and a stage presence that can help her on the big stage.
#2. Mathias Vergels
Mathias Vergels is a 30 year-old Belgian singer and actor.
He rose to fame in 2011, when he played the character Gino in the film North Sea, Texas.
Later on, he moves to play in soaps and children plays.
Besides acting, Mathias sings and plays guitar and drums. He was part of the band Zero Grace that toured in Belgium.
Since 2017, he has focused on his solo career. Some of his songs reached the top 50 charts.
In the summer of 2019, he won the award for the best solo artist in Radio 2 Zomerhit.
In January 2020, he released his debut album “Waar Is Mathi?”.
In 2022, he participated in the second season of “The Masked Singer Vlaanderen” as the papegaai. He ended up in the 7th place.

Mathias will take Belgium in a brand new direction into the Eurovision Song Contest.
His music is diverse, and you can except pop-rock ballads, as well as mis-tempo pop songs.
He mostly performs in Dutch, but who knows maybe we can get a song in English from him.

#1. Full Trunk
Full Trunk is an Israeli Blues rock band that was formed in 2010.
The band members are: Gal Nisman, Ofer Vayner, Yotam Elazari and Ariel Keshet.
Their debut album, which carries the band’s name, was released in 2014. The album included 3 songs in English, while all the others were in Hebrew.
The album crossed Israel’s borders and was successful in France, Switzerland and Canada.
Their second album, “Time For Us To Move,” was released in 2015. The album included songs in English and combined different genres like Blues rock and Eastern (or middle east) music.
The album was financed by “Headstart” Crowd funding.
In 2017 they released the EP “Show Us What You Got“.
In 2022, they released their 4th album “ממותה” (Eng: mammoth).

Full Trunk brings years of experience on stage.
Their music has a distinctive stamp thanks to the fusion of music genres.
It will be a chance for Israel to shine in the contest with a different flavour.
#2. Jasmin Moallem
Jasmin Moallem is an 27 year-old Israeli singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer.
She was born in Jerusalem, the capital city of Israel. At the of 2, her family moved to Portugal where she spent 2 years.
After her military service, she studied music in the UK and in the US. Later on, she studies music at Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, Israel.
In 2018, she won first place in the “Shirimon” competition, where she covered the song “Noetzet Mabat” (originally performed by Omer Adam) alongside Uri Brinker.
In 2020, she released her debut album “Arye” (Eng: Lion).
One of the songs “מסיבה” (Eng: For a reason) topped the Israeli charts.

Jasmin Moallem is one of the rising stars in Israel, nowadays.
She isn’t only a singer, but also an artist that creates her own music.
Her music can be described as a fusion of genres with simplicity.

#1. Eefje de Visser
Eefje de Visser is a 36 year-old Dutch singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter.
She made her first media appearance on a radio show in 2002.
In 2006, she moved to Tilburg where she studied in the rock academy.
In 2009, she won best singer-songwriter in Grote Prijs van Nederland.
In 2010, she spent most of the time in touring.
Her debut album “De Koek” (Eng: The Cookie) was released in 2011.
In 2013, she released the album “Het Is” (Eng: It is) that picked number 3rd in the Dutch charts.
In 2016, she released her 3rd album “Nachtlicht” (Eng: Night light) that picked number 8th in the Dutch charts.
Her latest album, to date, is “Bitterzoet” (Eng: Bittersweet) which was released in 2020 and picked number 3rd in the Dutch charts.
In 2020, she won several awards. Among them we can count the most played song by a Dutch artist on the music channel (by Radio 3FM, NPO boradcastar).
In 2021, she won 2 Edisons awards: one for the best alternative artist and the second for the best album.

Eefje is a sophisticated artist with music that merges different genes. She makes the Dutch language shine. Having said this, her music is very accessible.
#2. Davina Michelle
Michelle Davina Hoogendoorn (better known as Davina Michelle) is a 26-year old Dutch singer.
In 2016, she took part in the 5th season of the music reality show “Idols“.
She was eliminated in the duets round.
In 2017, she established her YouTube channel where she has released English covers once a week.
One of them was a cover of “What About Us” by P!nk. The American singer called the cover great.
In December 2017, Davina released her debut single “Ga”.
In 2018, she participated in the 11th season of the TV Show “Beste Zangers” (Eng: the best singers). In one of the episodes, she covered the song “Takes Too Long” by the rapper Glen Faria.
It made the song the most downloaded one on iTunes. In 2018, the song reached the number 1 position in the Dutch charts.
Davina released the cover as an official single. It topped the Dutch charts and stayed in first place for 11 weeks.
Her debut album “My Own World” was released in 2020.
She kept on releasing singles each year.

Davina is one of the established singers in The Netherlands.
With her powerful voice, she is ready to conquer the international music scene, in particular Eurovision fans.
