France: “C’est vous qui décidez 2023” Was Confirmed as Selection Process For Eurovision 2023

France Télévisions has shared its plans for the upcoming months.
There’s also Eurovision-related news: France has confirmed its intention to participate in Eurovision 2023.
And perhaps most important: The French broadcaster revealed that “C’est vous qui décidez 2023” will be used as the selection process for Eurovision 2023!

This will be the 3rd year in a row that France uses “C’est vous qui décidez” as a selection process.
In 2021, Barbara Pravi won with her emotional ballad “Voilà“. She conquered the hearts of the voters and the jury and ended up as the runner-up in Eurovision 2021

In 2022, the electro-folk group Alvan and Ahez were selected to wave the French flag in Turin.
Unfortunately, they ended up in 24th place in the final.

Many fans were concerned that “C’est vous qui décidez” won’t be part of the selection process for Eurovision 2023, due to the unsatisfying achievement of France in Eurovision 2022.

However, we’re happy to see that one of our favorite selection processes will be used once again.

Nothing has been said about the format of the selection of the submission window.
It is worth mentioning that last year, the submission window opened towards the end of June.

Based on the last 2 editions of the selection, we can probably expect 12 songs in one televised show.
The results were determined by a combination of a professional jury and a public vote.

Will the selection process be revamped in 2023?
Will we see any big names of returning artists in the selection?

Stay tuned for more news!
