Cyprus: Andrew Lambrou’s Song For Eurovision 2023 Will Be Released in January 2023

On the 17th of October, it was revealed that Andrew Lambrou will represent Cyprus at Eurovision 2023.

The singer was internally selected to represent Cyprus at Eurovision 2023, due to a collaboration between  CyPBPanik Records of Greece, and City Pop Records of Australia.

According to OGAE Greece, CyBC plans to release the Cypriot song for Eurovision 2023 during January 2023.
He has also given an interview, where he claimed that the recording session was satisfying and the song is special for him.

The timing of the song release can be considered early, compared to recent years when Cyprus released their song in late February or even in the beginning of March

Andrew Lambrou took a flight to Sweden in order to record his song for Eurovision 2023.
Behind the songs are songwriters and producers from Sweden, like Jimmy JanssonThomas StengaardMarcus Winther John and Jimmy Joker.
The song will probably be a mid-tempo pop.

Andrew was born to a Greek-Cypriot family who lives in Australia.
In February 2022, he participated in the Australian selection for Eurovision 2022 – “Australia Decides 2022″.
He performed the song “Electrify” and finished in 7th place:

Andromache represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2022 with the song ”Ela”.She came in 12th place with 63 points in semi-final 2.
