The band Joker Out will represent Slovenia at Eurovision 2023

In the recent years, Slovenia has internally selected for Eurovision in 2 different occasions:

In 2013, the American Slovenian singer Hannah Leah Mancini was internally selected to represent Slovenia with the song “Straight Into Love” and failed to qualify for the final:

In 2020, Ana Soklic won the national selection “EMA 2020”.
However, Eurovision 2020 was canceled.
Therefore, RTV SLO has decided to internally select Ana Soklic for Eurovision 2021.
She performed the song “Amen” and unfortunately failed to qualify for the final

Joker Out commented in the press conference:

We talked about the Eurovision Song Contest years ago, but we were waiting for the right moment, which is obviously now,

The band revealed the song has already been selected.
Final records will be held in Hamburg in the coming days.
The song will be in the Slovenian language and will be released on the 4th of February 2023
