  • Norway and Spain will select their artists and songs for Eurovision 2023
  • Slovenia will present the song for Eurovision 2023
  • Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania will reduce list of potential songs

9 artists will compete to represent Norway at Eurovision 2023.
The results will be determined by a combination of a 50% public vote and 50% international jury voting.
The jury panel will include 50 members, from 10 different countries.
Public voting will be calculated at a proportional rate

The song is said to be performed in the Slovenian language. It will be an upbeat rock song.
The song includes an instrumental section as well.
Carpe Diem is a Latin phrase translated as “Seize the Day“.
It urges someone to make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future.

7 artists will compete for 2 spots in the final.
The 3rd and 4th place will try their luck in the semi-final.

Format

  1. In the heats, 2 rounds of voting will take place. After the first round, the first place will be announced and will get a direct path for the final. The public vote will be done in the SVT app.
  2. In the second round, all 6 remaining artists will compete for an additional spot. The votes from the previous round will still be taken under consideration. Viewers will get 5 free votes to spread this round.
  3. At the end of the evening, the second place (or first place among the 6 remaining) will get a spot in the final as well.
  4. Artists in place of 3 – 4 will get a ticket for the semi – final (“Second chance”).
  5. The public vote will be divided and aggregated by the age groups: televoters, 3 – 9 years old, 10 –15, 16 – 29, 30 – 44, 45 – 59, 60 – 74, and 75+.
  6. The full results of the semi-final will be given in the Grand final Eurovision method. Think of each voter group as a country. This means we will have the full ranking of each semi – final at the end of the nigh
