Tonight, 3 countries will make another stop forward on their Eurovision 2023 journey:
- Lithuania will select an artist and a song for Eurovision 2023
- Sweden and Iceland will reduce list of potential songs

Sweden will hold the 3rd heat of “Melodifestivalen 2023“.
7 artists will compete for 2 spots in the final.
The 3rd and 4th place will try their luck in the semi-final.

Format
- In the heats, 2 rounds of voting will take place. After the first round, the first place will be announced and will get a direct path for the final. The public vote will be done in the SVT app.
- In the second round, all 6 remaining artists will compete for an additional spot. The votes from the previous round will still be taken under consideration. Viewers will get 5 free votes to spread this round.
- At the end of the evening, the second place (or first place among the 6 remaining) will get a spot in the final as well.
- Artists in place of 3 – 4 will get a ticket for the semi – final (“Second chance”).
- The public vote will be divided and aggregated by the age groups: televoters, 3 – 9 years old, 10 –15, 16 – 29, 30 – 44, 45 – 59, 60 – 74, and 75+.
- The full results of the semi-final will be given in the Grand final Eurovision method. Think of each voter group as a country. This means we will have the full ranking of each semi – final at the end of the night

Format
The results will be determined by a 50% public vote and 50% national jury vote.
Special guests in the final will be Duncan Laurence (The Netherlands, Eurovision 2019) and Tvorchi, who will represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2023.

- Vaidotas Valiukevičius – The lead singer of The Roop (Lithuania, Eurovision 2020-2021)
- Monika Liu – Represented Lithuania at Eurovision 2022
- Vytautas Bikus – Music Producer, who composed Lithuania’s entries for Eurovision 2015 and 2018
- Ieva Narkutė – Singer-songwriter
- Raminta Naujalytė-Bjelle – Singer
- Gerūta Griniūtė – Radio host
- Stanislavas Stavickis-Stano – Singer and composer
- Jievaras Jasinskis – Composer

The semi-finals results will be determined by 100% public vote.
2 artists will qualify for the final from each semi-final.
