Iceland: “Söngvakeppnin 2023” – Semi-Final 2 Results

Icelandic broadcaster RÚV broadcasted the first semi-final of “Söngvakeppnin 2023“.
5 artists competed in the first semi-final:

  1. Úlfar – Betri maður / Impossible
  2. Kristín Sesselja – Óbyggðir / Terrified
  3. Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK
  4. Silja Rós & Kjalar – Ég styð þína braut / Together We Grow
  5. Sigga Ózk – Gleyma þér og dansa / Dancing Lonely

Based on 100% public vote, 2 artists qualified for the final.

The 2 qualifiers are:

  1. Sigga Ózk – Gleyma þér og dansa / Dancing Lonely

2. Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK

In addition, the jury decided to give a wildcard to one of the eliminated acts:

Celebs – Dómsdags dans / Doomsday Dancing

Next week, Iceland will hold a national final with 5 artists in the line-up:

Iceland will compete in the first half of semi-final 2 at Eurovision 2023.
