Germany Confirms Eurovision 2024 Participation

As expected, Germany (one of the Big 5 countries) has confirmed Eurovision 2024 participation.
Shortly after the Eurovision 2023 grand final, the German broadcaster ARD stated that Germany will continue competing, even though the country has finished in the last place once again.

NDR spokesperson said:

“We are very happy to be there every year. And it will stay that way.
Germany is such a diverse, exciting, and also innovative music market, so there is absolutely no reason not to compete again.
Eurovision is not only the biggest music show in Europe, the ESC is also one of the most successful shows on German television”

The selection process for Eurovision 2024 hasn’t been decided yet.

Lord of the Lost won the national selection for Eurovision 2023 with the song “Blood and Glitter“.
They ended on the 26th (last place) in the final with a total of 18 points.
Germany received points from 5 different countries (both for the jury and public vote together): Iceland, Austria, Czechia, Switzerland, and Finland
