Welcome to our series of posts – “The Looker” where we will share our wish list of artists participating in Eurovision.
This is the 3rd year in a row that we are running the project.
But before we start, let us remark that our recommendations will not necessarily come true (as for example some countries select their artists by reality shows)
This is the 3rd post in the series and it will concentrate on 3 countries: Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

#1.Pehmoaino
Aino Asta Marjatta Morko (mostly known as Pehmoiano) is a 21 year-old Finnish singer and actress.
Her career started at the age of 13, when she won the 2nd season of the Finnish “The Voice of Kids“.
In 2021, she released her 2 first singles, and also featured as a guest on Keko Salata’s album.
In 2022, she released her first EP “Kaukana koto” (Eng: Far away from home). The EP peaked at number 1st, 6 weeks after its release.
In 2023, Pehmoaino won 2 awards in the “Emma Gala 2023” music awards: the best newcomer and the best alternative album.

In 2022, she released the song “haluun takas mun perhoset” (Eng: I want my butterflies back).
The song led to first place in the Finnish chart.

Pehmoaino is a promising indie pip singer. She conquers the listeners with her soft voice and dreamy melodies. Eurovision can be a wonderful platform for rising stars to get worldwide recognition.
#2. Lauri Tähkä
Lauri Tähkä (real name Jarkko Tapani Suo) is a 49 year-old Finnish singer-songwriter.
Between 1995 and 2011, Luari was the lead singer of Elonkerjuu (until 2011 as Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu). The band released 8 successful studio albums.
In 2011, Luari decided to focus on a solo career.
He has released 6 studio albums as a solo performer:
- “Polte” (Eng: Burning) – 2011
- “Hurmaan” (Eng: I’m Charmed) – 2013
- “Jouluni laulut” (Eng: My Christmas Songs) – 2014
- “Vien sut täältä kotiin” (Eng: I’ll take you home from here) – 2016
- “Meidän tulevat päivät” (Eng: Our Coming Days) – 2019
- “Kaikella on tarkoitus” (Eng: Everything has a meaning) – 2022
Three of his albums peaked at number 1st, 2 of peaked at number 2nd and one peaked at number 10th.

Lauri is one of the most established artists in Finland.
During his career, he has released a lot of rock and ballads that became local hits.
I believe that he can represent Finland produly and do it with a song in the Finnish language.

#1. Moyka
Monika Engeseth (better known as Moyka) is a 23 year-old Norwegian singer-songwriter.
She has started gaining popularity, following her appearances in Norwegian media and performing in concerts in Norway and around the world.
In 2019, she released her debut EP: “Circles“.
In 2020, she released an additional EP: “Spaces“.
In 2021, she released her debut album, “The Revelations of Love“.

Moyka has her own unique style, she always delivers with delicate electronic production. And let’s not forget about her voice. She called herself “The Norwegian pop witch”, and indeed she casts an unexpected spell on the listener.
#2. Peder Elias
Peder Elias is a 25 year-old Norwegian singer-songwriter and producer. Peder grew up singing in the Nidarosdomens boys choir touring the US as well as all over Europe.
His career has steadily grown massive since the start of Covid, reaching chart placements with multiple songs in South-Korea first but now also across other different countries in South-East Asia, gathering a total of 350 million streams to date.
In 2022, he released his debut album: “Love & Loneliness“.

Peder Elias is a young promising artist who proves that there is power in the gentle sound. He has already gone viral in Asia, so there’s no reason why it shouldn’t apply to Europe.

#1. Isak Danielson
Isak Danielson is a 25 year-old Swedish singer-songwriter.
He was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden. Between 2008 and 2010, the family lived in London, Isak studied singing and theatre at “Tring Park School for the Performing Arts”.
In 2012, Isak participated in “X Factor Sweden” where he ended in the 3rd place. Afterwards, he became known.
In 2013, he released his debut single “Long Live This Love“.
So far, the singer has released 4 EPs and 4 studio albums:

Isak delivers drama in an elegant way with a warm voice.
His kind of songs might be effective for Eurovision with the right staging.
#2. Hildur Ottilia/Höglind
Hildur Höglind is a musician and songwriter from Blekinge, Sweden, who has received both the STIM (Swedish Composer’s International Music Bureau) grant (2017), the Blekinge culture grant (2018), and a grant from The Royal Swedish Academy of Music (2016) .
She also performs under the name Hildur Ottilia.
In 2019 her song “Steal Her Away” was one of five nominated songs in the Love category of the Independent Music Awards (IMA).
Out of over 1200 songs, her single Further Apart made it to the top eight in the national radio competition P4 Nästa.
She performs her songs both as a soloist with her guitar and with a full band.
In the coming days, she will release an EP.

Hildur has her own sound. Her magic might be reflected in the stories that are told in the lyrics of the songs.
Sweden might get out of the box with her, and it will create a very exciting moment at Eurovision.
