On the 26th of August 2023, it was confirmed that the UK will take part at Eurovision 2024, with a tendency for internal selection.
Later on, on the 12 of September 2023, it was revealed that the BBC has started to hold meetings for choosing Eurovision 2024 act.

Now, we can finally reveal that the BBC has ended its preparations for selecting the act for Eurovision 2024. Over the last week in the summer, the decision has been made! Both the song and the artist for Eurovision 2024 have been chosen.
The process was led by Lee Smithurst, Executive Producer BBC Studios alongside Will Wilkin, Commissioning Executive BBC Music.
Eurovision 2023 saw a great success among the UK viewers, with a total of 10.7 million viewers!
All 3 shows of Eurovision 2024 will once again all be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Mae Muller represented the UK at Eurovision 2023 with the song “I Wrote a Song”.
She ended up in 25th place in the final, with a total of 24 points

Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-final will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11h of May 2024
