North Macedonia: Ongoing Conversations at MRT Regarding Eurovision 2024

In September 2023, we reported that North Macedonian broadcaster MRT expressed intention to compete at Eurovision 2024.

It is still unclear whether we will see North Macedonia competing at Eurovision 2024.
In a previous document, released by MRT, it has been stated:

The program of Macedonian Radio Television in 2024 will be
also marked by the participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 where
Macedonian musical values will be presented through the participating song
at this festival.

MRT has also planned the suggested budget for 2024, where a bullet about Eurovision 2024 appeared. An allocation of 1,500,000 Macedonian Denars (around 24,349 Euros) was suggested for Eurovision 2024:

Based on MRT reports, we learn that Eurovision 2024 participation is still under discussions.
Professor Smilka Janeska Sarkanjac, the president of program at MRT sounds supportive regarding Eurovision 2024 participation.
Furthermore, in recent conversations, she suggested that MRT should suggest a selection process for Eurovision 2024 by the end of November 2023.

Professor Smilka Janeska Sarkanjac added:

By not participating in Eurovision, we miss out on presenting ourselves
on the international stage

The participants in the meeting called for a more transparent selection process for Eurovision 2024. They have even wondered whether “Skopje Festival” can be used as the selection process. However, it has been stated that the schedule of the festival won’t fit the Eurovision timeline.

Andrea represented North Macedonia at Eurovision 2022 with the song “Circles“.
Unfortunately, she didn’t qualify for the final, ending in 11th place in semi-final 2:
