Germany: Changes in The Format of “Chefsache ESC 2025” Final

On Saturday (March 1st, 2025), Germany will hold their national final for Eurovision 2025 – “Chefsache ESC 2025”.

9 artists reached the final:

The Format

1. The final will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 20:15 CET.
2. Barbara Schöneberger will host the show.
3. Previously, it was planned that public votes solely will decide the winner.
4. However, the new format will be as following:
   • In the first round, the 9 finalists will perform covers. The results will be based on jury votes only. The jury panel members be Stefan Raab, Yvonne Catterfeld, Nico Santos and Conchita Wurst.
   • In the second round, only 5 artists will compete. The artists will perform their songs for Eurovision 2025. The results will be based on 100% public vote.

Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th, and 17th of May 2025.
