Cyprus: Preparations for Eurovision 2026 Have Commenced

Cyprus confirmed it will participate in Eurovision 2026

Based on EurovisionFun‘s reports, the Cypriot broadcaster RIK has already set the stage for Eurovision 2026 participation, with the first plans taking place earlier this summer.

As in recent years, Cyprus will stick to internal selection.
RIK approached music labels based in Greece and Cyprus to appoint suitable artists.
It appears that some music labels have already submitted proposals.

Based on the pattern from the recent years, Cyprus has been one of the first countries to select an artist for Eurovision.

In the past, RIK collaborated with Panik Records, one of Greece’s leading music record labels


Theo Evan represented Cyprus in Eurovision 2025.
He performed the song “Shh” and didn’t qualify for the final.

Eurovision 2026 will be held in Austria in May 2026
