Austria: “Vienna Calling – Wer singt für Österreich” Songs Have Been Released

Austria will select its Eurovision 2026 entry via a national selection, for the first time since 2016.
The selection show will be “Vienna Calling – Wer singt für Österreich”

Over 500 songs were submitted to the national selection. Around two-thirds of them are submitted in German or a dialect. 12 songs were shortlisted to compete in the national final.

About The Acts

  1. Two groups are participating; otherwise, among the solo artists, there are more women than men.
  2. The youngest, Cosmo from Vienna, is 19.
  3. The show features acts from Tyrol, Vienna, Carinthia, and Styria.

“Vienna Calling – Wer singt für Österreich” – Known Details

  1. The final will be held on Friday, February 20th, 2026.
  2. 12 artists will compete in the national final.
  3. The results will be based on a combination of jury vote and public vote.
  4. Cesár Sampson (Eurovision 2018) and Alice Tumler (one of the Eurovision 2015 hosts) will host the national selection
  5.  Caroline Athanasiadis, Elton, and Luca Hänni will act as commentators

Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026.
