Austria will select its Eurovision 2026 entry via a national selection, for the first time since 2016.
The selection show will be “Vienna Calling – Wer singt für Österreich”
Over 500 songs were submitted to the national selection. Around two-thirds of them are submitted in German or a dialect. 12 songs were shortlisted to compete in the national final.

About The Acts
- Two groups are participating; otherwise, among the solo artists, there are more women than men.
- The youngest, Cosmo from Vienna, is 19.
- The show features acts from Tyrol, Vienna, Carinthia, and Styria.
“Vienna Calling – Wer singt für Österreich” – Known Details

- The final will be held on Friday, February 20th, 2026.
- 12 artists will compete in the national final.
- The results will be based on a combination of jury vote and public vote.
- Cesár Sampson (Eurovision 2018) and Alice Tumler (one of the Eurovision 2015 hosts) will host the national selection
- Caroline Athanasiadis, Elton, and Luca Hänni will act as commentators
Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026.
