The first edition of Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 is already in the process, with the Eurovision Song Contest Asia website and the official Eurovision page announcing the schedules for the national selections that will select the entries of participating countries that have opted to use national selections to choose their entrant.
Earlier today (August 11th), the first-ever Eurovision Asia national final took place.
The first country to broadcast its selection show was Bhutan; “The Rhythm of Bhutan” was organized by Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS)

5 artists competed in the selection:
- Karma Drupchu – “Pha Yuel” (Eng: The Homeland)
- The Sangay Lhaden Band – “Pemi Tshewang Tashi” (Eng: The Legend)
- Nyendra – “Lhayi Semo” (Eng: The Angel)
- Pelden Wangchuk – “Jo’druel” (Eng: The Journey)
- Baeyul 301 – “Drenpa” (Eng: The Memories)

The results were decided by a combination of a 40% national jury vote, a 40% national public vote, and a 20% rest of the world vote.
The final results were:
- Nyendra – “Lhayi Semo” (52 points)
- The Sangay Lhaden Band – “Pemi Tshewang Tashi” (41 points)
- Baeyul 301 – “Drenpa” (36 points)
- Karma Drupchu – “Pha Yuel” (32 points)
- Pelden Wangchuk – “Jo’druel” (19 points)
