SVT, The Swedish broadcaster is getting ready for its most exciting moment of the year: the new season of Melodifestivalen!
In just Three weeks from now, Sweden’s top 28 artists will conquer the MF stage and will battle for a single golden ticket to Rotterdam where the Eurovision song contest will take place this year.
Due to COVID-19 regulation the show wont tour this year across the country and all the show will be recorder in Annexet venue in Stockholm. celebrating his 19th and last year as the supervisor of the festival, the Swedish singer and TV producer Christer Björkman will also use as the host of all shows followed by Sweden’s top icons and MF legends.
Next year, for the first time since the Melodifestvalen has re-invented to its current famous 6 weeks mechanism, Björkman‘s SVT partner Karin Gunnarsson will lead the future productions of the contest.

This morning, SVT held its yearly press conference in a different way then usual, this time on Instagram live and revealed for the first time the show’s top secret info: “the running order”. with similar nuances to its “big brother” the Eurovision song contest, the semi finals allocations and the running order has been decided by the show production and that’s to build up a diverse and colorful show and yet the most spectacular as possible.
2021 show will be open up with ———— and will closed with ———- reveling the last potential song on the race to bring Sweden’s its 7th Eurovision victory. the full ruining order is as follows:

Melodifestivalen 2021 grand final will take place on March 13th, 2021 and will include 10 songs, the top2 songs winning from each semi final plus another 2 entries that will qualify from the second chance round. Christer Björkman will host the show with Eurovision 2015 winner Måns Zelmerlöw and the Iranian-Swedish actress and singer Shima Niavarani.
