Azerbaijan: Song titles of 6 potential entries have been revealed

The singer  Efendi (Samira Efendiyev) has been internally selected by the broadcaster to represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2020 with the song “Cleopatra


Azerbaijani broadcaster Ictimai TV has received a total amount of 229 songs.
Some of them have been written by international writers.
The submission window for Eurovision 2021 song was opened on the 7th of January 2021 and was closed on the 1st of February 2021.

The national broadcaster has narrowed the list of songs to only 6 songs.
A professional jury panel will decide the identity of the song for Eurovision 2021 that will be revealed in the second week of March 2021

According to Infe Azerbaijan, among the 6 songs we can find 2 ballads and 4 uptempo songs.
The titles of the 6 final songs are:

  1. Mata Hari (uptempo)
  2. Ratata (uptempo)
  3. When I’m gone (ballad)
  4. Manifesto (uptempo)
  5. Breathing You (ballad)
  6. Owe You Pretty (uptempo)

It’s important to recall that the song titles may be changed later on.
We can already reveal that one of the writers of “Cleopatra”, has written one of these 6 songs.


Azerbaijan will compete in the second half of semi-final 1 at Eurovision 2021
