Welcome to our new series of posts – “The Looker” where we will share our wish list of artists participating in Eurovision.
But before we start, let us remark that our recommendations will not necessarily come true (as for example some countries select their artists by reality shows)

This time we will concentrate on 3 countries: Australia, Ireland, the United Kingdom
#1. Dean Lewis
Dean Loaney (better known as Dean Lewis) is 33 years old Australian pop singer.
He released his first single “Waves” in 2016. Until 2019, the single was certified 7× Platinum in Australia. The single was a huge success in Belgium, Ireland, Sweden, the UK, and Canada. The song was featured in a number of American television shows (like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Suits“).
In 2017, he released 2 more singles that late on were included in his EP “Same Kind of Different.”
His EP peaked 27th place in the Australian chart.
In 2018, he released another 2 singles. One of them (“Be Alright“) became a huge success with placing 1st in Australia and Belgium, 2nd in Norway and Sweden, 3rd in New Zealand, 4th in Ireland, 5th in Denmark, 11th in the UK, 23rd in the US, and 27th in Canada.
In 2019, he released his debut album, “A Place We Knew,” which was a huge success in the same countries., including 1st place in the Australian chart

#2. Delta Goodrem
Delta Lea Goodrem is 36 years old Australian singer, songwriter and actress.
She began her music career as a teenager. At the age of 15, she signed a contract with Sony Music. At the beginning, she tended to perform dance pop music. However, the fact that her first single wasn’t that popular, made her and the label rethink about the right musical direction.
In 2002, she released the ballad “Born to Try” which reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart and number three in the UK. In 2003, she released her debut album, “Innocent Eyes“, that was number 1st on the Australian chart. The album has stayed at number one for 29 consecutive weeks.
It was a huge success in other countries as well.
At the age of 18, Goodrem was diagnosed with cancer and therefore had to pause her career.
Later on, she recovered and returned to be one of the most successful musicians in Australia.
In 2005 she tried to launch her career in America, but returned to Australia a year later.
In 2006, she performed the song “Together We Are On” at the Opening Ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games in front of 80K people in the audience and up to 1.5 billion television viewers worldwide. In 2008, she won the award for best selling album, following the release of her 3rd studio album “Delta” (that was released in 2007). 0Over the years, she promoted her music in Japan and America.
At the 2008 World Music Awards, Delta received her third World Music Award for World’s Best Selling Australian Artist.
Her 4th album “Child of The Universe” peaked number two on the ARIA Charts and spent ten weeks in the top 50 and reached gold
In 2016, she released her 5th studio album “Wings of The Wild”.
In 2020, she released the album “Only Santa Knows“.
In 2021, she released her 7th album “Bridge over Troubled Dreams ” that has received positive reviews.
She was a coach on the Australian version of “The Voice” in 2013-2013, 2015-2020.

Delta is an experienced singer who is always something personal and heartwarming. I’m sure she is able to amaze us all with the right ballad and her magnificent voice.
#3. Jaguar Jonze
Deena Lynch (better known as Jaguar Jonze) is 29 years old Taiwanese – Australian indie singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Initially, she performed under the mononym Deena.
She was born in Japan to an Australian father and Taiwanese mother. At the age of 7, she moved to Australia and since then based in Queensland . She released 2 studio album: “Lone Wolf” (2012) and “Black Cat” (in 2015).
In 2020, she participated in the Australian national selection for Eurovision 2020 – “Australia Decides 2020” with the song “Rabbit Hole” (and ended in 6th place).
In 2020, she released the EP “Diamonds & Liquid Gold” and in 2021 she released the EP “Antihero“. In the years 2020 and 2021, she won the Queensland Music Awards – as the best singer/ song writer
Besides music, she also worked as a visual artist and a photographer

One might think it isn’t an original choice. However, Jaguar Jonze released excellent music in the last 2 years. You can see her uniqueness and learn about her as an artist from every single song. #1. LYRA
Laura Brophy (better known as LYRA) is 27 years old Irish singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In 2004, she participated in the Irish Tv show “You’re a star”. She was eliimnetad in the heats round, however the Eurovision legened and jugde Linda Martin gavve her a wildcasrd to the livw shows. Laura impressed t he judges during the live shows and evntually ended in the 7th place.
In 2016, she released her first EP “W.I.L.D”. One of the singles in the EP – “Emerald” appaerd in the second episode of the Irish series “Striking Out”. “Emerald” was also used in Teen Wolf, The X Factor and The Only Way Is Essex, and helped to gain her exposure. Her song “Falling” was featured in the 16th season of Grey’s Anatomy.
In 2017, she signed a contract with Polydor Records and Universal Music.
LYRA had the chance to perform in several festivals: Great Escape, Music Cork, Latitude, and Electric Picnic.
So far, she has released 2 stuidio albums:

LYRA has a distinvtive voice you can’t ignore. She puts a olt of emotions in her songs and ininterpretation. In my opinion, she is the one who can not only take Irealnd to the final, but also make Ireland ending in the top10.
#2. Dermot Kennedy
Dermot Kennedy is 29 yeard old Irish singer-songwriter. He started playing guitar at the age of 10 and writing songs at the age on 14. Besides his solo carrre, Dermot began a band with three other members during his studies that split up in 2015.
In 2017 he performed in the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival (in the US). In 2018. he performed in the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
after relasing plenty of songs, the singer releaed his debut album “Without Fear” in October 2019.

Dermot Kennedy is a rising star not only in the Irish music industry, but also in worldwide. He has already proved how popular his music can be. Watching his live performance on YouTube, it is guaranteed he will deliver live which is very important at Eurovision.
#3.Greywind
Greywind is an Irish duo Made up of siblings Steph O’Sullivan (vocals) and Paul O’Sullivan (guitar).
In 2017, they recorded a demo of their first song “Afterthoughts”. the pair were almost instantly flooded with a wave of label interest. In the same year, they released their debut studio album “Afterthoughts”. They keep on releasing new songs lately.

The duo combines pop rock music with altternative Indie rock music. they have a unique stamp which makes them special and the at same time accessable.
#1. Tom Grennan
Thomas Grennan (better known as Tom Grennan) is 26 years old British singer-songwriter.
At the agr of 18, he started doing gigs around London with his acoustic guitar, namely in small pubs for 3 years. A reprsentative of Insanity Record heard him and offereed a contract.
In 2016, he was featured in the single “All Goess Wrong” by Chase & Status. Follwing this, he was invited to perform in “The Live Lounge” radio station and in BBC 2 show “Later … with Jolls Hollnad“.

Tom Grennan is an example of how the British music industry can be proud of its talented artists. With his raspy voice, meaningful texts an tons of charisma, Tom can conquer the Eurovision viewers heart.
#2.Charli XCX
Charlotte Emma Aitchison (better known as Charli XCX) is 28 years old English singer and songwriter. She staerted her music career in 2008, posting covers in her MySpace page. It contirbued to her discover when in 2010 she signed a recording contract with the American label Asylum Records. In 2012, she collaborated with the Swedish electropop duo Icona Pop,Asylum Records. Their song “I Love It” became a huge success, topping the charts in the USA and Europe.
In 2013, she released her dubut album “True Rormance” that wasn’t popolar enough.
In early 2014, she was featured on Australian rapper Iggy Azalea’s single “Fancy”. the track topped the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming both artists’ first number-one single on the chart
In December 2014, she released her second studio album “Sucker” which was a huge success. The album peaked the following chart positions: UK (15), Ireland (17), US (28(, Switzerland (33), France (42), Austria(44), Germany (57), and Belgium (61).
In 2016, she releases her second EP “Vroom Vroom” that peaked the 2nd position on US Dance chart.
In the years 2017-2018 she released several singles. Some of them bacame popoular in the UK, US and Ireland.
In 2019, she released her 3rd studio album “Charli” tThe album peaked the following chart positions: UK (14), Austrlaia (7), Austria (73), Belgium (55), France (92), Germany (91), Irelnd (21), New Zealand (26), Switzerland (54), and US (42).
In 2020, she released her 4th sudio album “How I’m Feeling Now”

Charli XCX is one of the hottest names of the electropop scene in the UK and in general. She has the formula of excellent electropop songs that will stick to your mind.
#3. Jessie Ware
Jessica Lois Ware (better known as Jessie Ware) is 36 years old British singer-songwriter and podcaster. Ware is proud of her cultural Jewish identity.
In 2012, she released her dubut single “Devotion“. The album pweaked nubmer 5th at the British charts and was a success in other countries as well: Belgium, Poland, Denmark, Ireland, USA and Switzerland. The album reached gold in the UK and platinum in Poland.
In 2014, Jessie toured in the USA and Europe.
In October 2014, she released her 2nd stuidio album “Tough Love” which peaked nubmer 9th on the British chart.
Jessie wrote songs for other artists as well, for instance: “The Crying Game” for Nicki Minaj, “New Man” for Ed Sheeran and more.
After 2 years o absence, Ware returned to stage with the 3rd album “Glasshouse”. The album peaked number 7 on the British charts. It incldued contribution from Francis and the Lights, Ed Sheeran, Cashmere Cat, and Julia Michaels.
In 2020, she lauched her 4th studio album “What’s Your Pleasure?“.

Jessie Ware is a phenomenal perfomer and aritst. She has the ability to amaze us all with electronic sound, as well with ballads. Each of her songs will take you to a magnificaent journey.
