Slovenia: “EMA 2022” – Semi-Final 1 Results

Earlier tonight, Slovenia held the first semi-final of “EMA 2022” – the Slovenian selection for Eurovision 2022.

The hosts of the show were Melani Mekicar and Bojan Cvjetićanin

12 artists performed live in the following running order:


  1. July Jones – Girls Can Do Anything
  2. David Amaro – Še vedno si lepa (Eng: You are still beautiful)
  3. Le Serpentine – Tud teb se lahk zgodi (Eng: It can happen to you as well
  4. Bowrain & Brina – It’s Time
  5. LUMA – All In (“EMA Freš 2022” qualifier)
  6. Stela Sofia – Tu in zdaj (“EMA Freš 2022” qualifier)
  7. Jonatan Haller – Obzorje (Eng: Horizion)
  8. Batista Cadillac – Mim pravil (Eng: mim rules)
  9. Zala Smolnikar – V ogledalu (Eng: In the mirror)
  10. Manouche – Si same? (Are You Alone?)

6 artists qualifies for the final. 3 of them have been chosen by the national jury, while 3 others have been chosen by the public.


The 6 qualifiers are:

July Jones – Girls Can Do Anything

David Amaro – Še vedno si lepa (Eng: You are still beautiful)

LUMA – All In

Stela Sofia – Tu in zdaj 

Manouche – Si same? 

Batista Cadillac – Mim pravil 

Therefore, 4 acts are eliminated:

Bowrain & Brina – It’s Time

Le Serpentine – Tud teb se lahk zgodi (Eng: It can happen to you as well.

Jonatan Haller – Obzorje (Eng: Horizion)

Zala Smolnikar – V ogledalu (Eng: In the mirror)

Next week, 10 additional artists will compete in the second semi-final of “EMA 2022“. They will fight on 6 additional spots in the final.

Slovenia will compete in the first half of semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2022 on the 10th of May 2022.
If Slovenia qualifies, the country will participate in the grand final on the 14th of May 2022
