United Kingdom: 4 Acts Are In The Final Phase For Eurovision 2023

Based on reports made by the daily British Mirror, the national broadcaster BBC is at a very advanced level towards choosing the country’s representative for Eurovision 2023!
As a reminder, this will be the second year in a row where the BBC collaborates with TaP Music to choose an artist for Eurovision.

According to the mentioned source, there are 4 potential artists to represent the UK in Liverpool.
Some of them are quite established and have already made a great career.

ย Ed Millett, TaP Music co-founder, commented.
Following the fact that men represented the UK in the years 2019-2022, it seems that the chance for women is greater this year:

should, perhaps, not have a guy

Ben Mawson, TaP Music‘s project manager, reacted:

Weโ€™re down to four acts, in varying forms of establishment.
What defines a Brit is fairly open โ€“ thereโ€™s a broad multicultural population.

Therefore, we can conclude that the UK might be represented by a female singer, female band/duo, a non binary artist, or even a non British artist!

In the mix of rumors, you can find: Ellie Goulding!
Last July, the singer was invited by Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky, to perform at his wife Olena Zelenska at the First Ladies Summit at the weekend.

She recently posted an Instagram post, where she has been seen in the studio:

In addition, and in contrast to previous rumors, Rina Sawayama won’t represent the country at Eurovision 2023!

The chosen artist will also collaborate with Ukrainian representatives – Tvorchi, as part of the unity and collaboration between the UK and Ukraine in hosting Eurovision 2023
