Anouk is one of the most popular Dutch singer, who has gained a world-wide recognition.
So far, the singer has released 14 studio-albums (which topped the Dutch and Belgian charts) and won several awards.
In 2013, she was internally selected to represent the country at Eurovision with “Birds”
Back then, Anouk took The Netherlands back to the final after 8 years of failing to qualify for the final.
She ended in honorable 9th place in the final.
In October 2023, we reported that the singer considered applying for Eurovision 2024.
She revealed that she would have chosen one of the songs in her “Deena and Jim” album.
However, due to former obligation, Anouk has had to release her latest album “Deena and Jim” on November 3rd 2023.
One of the internal selection rules was not to release the song before March 2024.

However, it seems that the Eurovision chapter isn’t over for Anouk!
Yesterday’s evening, the singer performed in “NN North Sea Jazz: at Rotterdam Ahoy.
As it has been reported by Songfestival.be, the singer has shared exciting news with the audience.
According to the singer, she has wrote a solid rock song which might be a perfect match for Eurovision.
However, The Netherlands participation in Eurovision 2025 is still uncertain.
Following the incident in Eurovision 2024 (which resulted in Joost Klein’s disqualification), the Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS is still considering its plans for Eurovision 2025.
Therefore, the singer added: “I am not sure who should I send my song to”.
