The 20 competing songs of “Festivali I Këngës 2020″ will be published next week, on 19-23 of November 2019. An Unofficial source claims that Elvana Gjata will perform a “Fuego Rhythmic song”, while Arilena Ara will perform a ballad.
Australia
As we reported before, Vanessa Amorosi is one of the singers that will participate in “Australia Decide 2020”. Vanessa released her new album “Back To Love” a few days ago. You can read my review of the album right here. Vanessa will choose a song from her new album to be her song for “Australia Decide 2020”. Vanessa confirmes that Aleena Gibson was involved in writing/composing the chosen song. Putting all together leads to the understanding that the chosen song will be one of those:

Armenia
Kamil Show is considering participating in “Depi Evratesil 2020″ (The Armenian national selection). Kamil participated in “Depi Evratesil 2018″ and ended in 4th place.
Estonia
Last Tuesday and Wednesday, The Estonian Broadcaster ERR revealed the identity of t the 24 competing artists in “Eesti Laul 2020”. Nevertheless, the partition of the songs to 2 semi-finals hasn’t been leaked.

Laura represented Estonia on two occasions: in 2005 as a part of Suntribe group and in 2017 together with Koit Toome. Moreover, Laura competed in previous editions of Eesti Laul: 2007,2009,2011,2016 but then she didn’t win in the competition
Stefan had participated twice in Eesti Laul. In 2018, as a part of the dual Vaje. They finished in 3rd place in the super-final. Stefan participated also in Eesti Laul 2019 as a solo artist and again he finished in 3rd place in the super-final.
Uku Suviste participated twice in Eesti Laul. in 2017, he was eliminated in the semi-final, while in 2019 he ended in the 2nd place in the super final with “Pretty Little Liar“.
Rasmus Randvee participated in “Eesti Laul 2017”. He performed the song “This Love” and ended in 3rd place in the super-final.
The band Traffic will perform the song “Üks Kord Veel“. The song was written by Stig Rästa and Victor Crone. Victor represented Estonia in Eurovision 2019. Stig was among the composers and writers of Estonia songs in Eurovision 2015,2016,2019 and he even was a part of the duel that represented Estonia in Eurovision 2015.
Little Mess band will perform “Without a Reason” which was co-written together with Tanja who represented Estonia in Eurovision 2014 and competed in “Eesti Laul 2019”.
INGER competed in “Eesti Laul 2019” and performed the song “Coming Home” that lead the singer to end in 6th place in “Eesti Laul 2019”
Synne Valtri competed in “Eesti Lau l2019” and performed the song “I’ll Do It My Way”. she ended in 11th place in the “Eesti Laul 2019” final.
Jennifer Cohen competed in “Eesti Laul 2019”. She performed the song “Little Baby El” and failed to qualify for the “Eesti Laul 2019” final.
Egert Milder competed in “Eesti Laul 2015” as part of a duet together with Liis Lemsalu. The duet failed to qualify for the final of the Estonian national selection in 2015.
INGA participated in “Eesti Laul 2019” and performed the song “Milline päev”. She performed the song together with Lumevärv. They ended in 5th place.
Georgia
10 singers will face each other at the live shows of “Georgia Idol 2020”. One of them will be the winner of the show and will be selected as Georgia representative for Eurovision 2020.

Greece
Greek media reports that one of the contenders for representing Greece in Eurovision 2020 is the Greek-Dutch young singer Stefania Liberakakis. Stefania participated in Junior Eurovision 2016 as a part of the Kisses band that represented The Netherlands.
Hungary
Hungary withdrew from Eurovision 2020. However, the “A Dal” competition will be held as a music competition that doesn’t relate to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Israel
“The Rising Star” (“Ha’cochav Haba La’Euroviosion”) will be aired earlier than the planned date: On Wednesday the 20th of November 2019.
Montenegro
Montenegro withdrew from Eurovision 2020. RTCG (The National Broadcaster) decided to invest the participation fee (130,000 €) in purchasing 5 new cars to news teams of RTCG.
Norway
Melodi Grand Prix 2020 will include 5 semi-finals. The semi-finals will be held on every Saturday, starting from The 11th of January 2020 and ending on the 8th of February 2020. The Automatic qualifiers for the final will be revealed on the 3rd of January 2020. Each semi-final songs will be published on the preceding Monday to the show date. One automatic qualifier’s song will be revealed on each Friday, starting from The 10th of January 2020 and ending on the 7th of February 2020.
Serbia
The deadline for sending songs for “Beovijia 2020” was postponed to the 9th of December 2019. May RTS (The Serbian National Broadcaster) not be satisfied with the received songs?
Slovenia
Slovenia continued with the second week of EMA Freš which is a mini-contest for 18 young Slovenian musicians under the age of 26. This week, another 6 artists tried their luck and competed in 3 duels. Klarity won over Tilen Lotrič, Petra Ceglar won over Marko Škof and Parvani Violet won over Sara Petešić. Later on, the 3 winners faced each other. One of them qualified for the next level as a public voting winner and the other as a jury choice. Klarity and Parvani Violet are this week’s winners.

Next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, another 6 young artists will compete in 3 duels on additional two spots in the next level of EMA FERS.
Russia
It’s almost official, Olga Buzova will represent Russia in Eurovision 2020. Olga is 35 years old. She is an actress, singer and TV host. So far, Olga has released 2 albums.
Sweden
Another week and more Melodifestivalen 2020 bubbles of rumors are flying in the air! The further rumored artists are:
Anna Bergendahl who participated in Melodifestivalen 2010 and Melodifestivalen 2019. In 2010, she won Melodifestivalen and represented Sweden in Eurovision 2010. Anna finished on 11th place in the sem-final and therefore, didn’t qualify for the final.
In 2019, she returned to Melodifestivalen. Anna performed the amazing song “Ashes To Ashes” and achieved 10th place in the final.
Robin Bengtsson who took part it Melodifestivalen 2016 and Melodifestivalen 2017, will probably return to Melodifestivalen in 2020. In 2017, Robin won Melodifestivalen and represented Sweden in Eurovision 2017 and ended in 5th place in the grand final.
Anis Don Demina is a Swedish rapper who participated in Melodifestivalen 2019. He performed the song “Mina Brander” together with the singer Zeana. They ended in 5th place in the semi-final.
Thorsten Flinck is a Swedish musician and actor. He participated in Melodifestivalen 2012 as a part of the group Revolutionsorkestern. They ended in 8th place in Melodifestivalen 2012.

Carola – The Swedish singer has won The Melodifestivalen 3 times: 1983,1991 and 2006. Carola was the winner of Eurovision 1991 and finished on Top 5 in the years 1983 and 2006. Carola denied participation in the Melodifestivalen. however, she had a meeting with SVT (The Swedish National Broadcaster).
Linda Bengtzing who has participated six times in the Melodifestivalen (2005, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2016). Linda is well known for her appearance at Melodifestivalen 2016 where she performed “Killer Girl” with a shaved head:
Frida Öhrn has participated in the competitions of 2004, 2009 and 2013. All her participations were as a part of a group. In 2009 and 2013, she was part of the “Cookies ‘N’ Beans” female trio. In 2004, she performed as part of the pop trio LaRoxx. Frida will compete as a solo artist this year.
Paul Rey is a Swedish soul-pop singer who is best known for his version of “California Dreaming” feat. Snoop Dog. It will be his first participation in the Melodifestivalen
