Go_A is the Ukrainian band who should have represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2020, after they had won the national final for Eurovision 2020 – “Vidbir 2020“.
The band tend to perform the song “Solovey” (Eng: nightingale)
The broadcaster UA:PBC decided to internally select the band to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2021.
The broadcaster planned to have a special edition of “Vidbir” where 4-5 songs will be performed by the band. The winning song would have be the Ukrainian song for Eurovision 2021.
However, according to Kateryna Pavlenko the lead singer of the band, things have been changed lately. The singer talked to the managers of UA:PBC and told them the band have already thought about the topic of their song for Eurovision 2021.
The singer mentioned that staying under quarantine made her think about the desired topic for the song. Nevertheless, the song hasn’t been written yet. Kateryna hints that she has to do some homework in order to complete the writing.
Furthermore, the song won’t be similar to “Solovey”. We can guess that the band will come up with another song in the Ukrainian language.
It seems impossible that the broadcaster will held a national selection show where all the songs will share the same subject. However, the broadcaster hasn’t confirmed yet the details.
