Norway: Meet 21 “Melodi Grand Prix 2022” Participants and Listen To Their Songs


NRK held a special press conference where 21 participants in the “Melodi Grand Prix 2022″ were revealed. One of them will represent Norway at Eurovision 2022!

The hosts of the show are: Kåre Magnus Bergh, Annika Momrak, and Mikkel Niva:

The schedule is as follows:

  • Semi-Final 1: 15th January 2022
  • Semi-Final 2: 22nd January 2022
  • Semi-Final 3: 29th January 2022
  • Semi-Final 4: 5th February 2022
  • Second Chance Round 1 : 7th February 2022
  • Second Chance Round 2 : 12th February 2022
  • Grand Final: 19th February

4 artists will take part in each of the 4 semi-finals. Only one artist will qualify directly for the final.
5 additional artists have already guaranteed their place in the final.

The 12 artsits who won’t win their semi-finals will have a second chance to qualify for the final.
This time, the Second Chance has 2 phases.
On Monday 7th of February 2022, these 12 artists will compete on 4 spots. The 4 qualifiers will have the chance to win the wild-card on Saturday 12th of February 2022.
One of them will get the wild-card for the final.

SEMI – FINAL 1 (15th of January 2022)

  • Daniel Lukas – “Kvelertak” (Suffocating)

SEMI – FINAL 3 (29th of January 2022)

  • Mari Bølla – “Your Loss”
  • Oda Gondrosen – “Hammer of Thor”
  • Sturla – “Skår i hjertet” (Shards in the Heart)
  • VILDE – “Titans”

SEMI – FINAL 4 (5th of February 2022)



  • Alexandra Joner – “Hasta la vista”
  • Maria Mohn – “Fly”
  • Kim Wigaard – “La melodia” (The melody)
  • Sofie Fellvjang – “Made of Glass”

Final – Direct-Qualifiers (19th of February 2022)
